We want to hear from you too! So, have you ever gone to a "must see" place, only to realize, it was only ok? Leave it in the comments. Thanks for stopping by, and happy travels! Skeeter

We've all had a time in our lives when we've had to face something scary or uncomfortable. The individual experience is unique to each of us, but the gut wrenching feeling is not. One thing I want to encourage you all to do though, is to charge head first into it. I need reminding of this sometimes too, there's no magic potion to erasing every shred of self doubt. I recently shared that we are moving to Oregon. This new adventure brought a whole mix of feelings. I felt so fortunate, hopeful, and terrified all at the same time. I expressed these fears to a friend of mine, and she said "What's the worst that will happen? You fail, and try something new? " To which I replied "Yes". That was it. I could fail, but all that would do in the big scheme of things is mean that I would need to try again. Sure, in the short term, there would be uncertainty, some tight financial situations perhaps, but in the end things always work out. I 100% believe that. Think back to a time when you thought things couldn't be worse and couldn't possibly work out. Now, look at where you are now. It may not be where you thought you would be, or where you want to be in a year. But, you're probably looking at that impossible situation with a new and improved perspective. And if you're not, give it some time, it WILL be ok. In regards to our move, and my new job; I am so glad that I jumped in feet first. Things are still very new, I'm living out of my suitcase, but things are working out so far. People, as usual, are very nice, and very helpful. The worst thing I can imagine, is if I had been too afraid to try. I could have easily stayed in my comfort zone, not shook things up, and things would have been fine. But that's it, just fine. I would never know if I could have achieved more, I would have never pushed myself to see exactly what my potential was. Always pushing ourselves to find that new boundary of our potential is so important to a happy and healthy life. If you're never going to try something new, then what's the point in it all? Sometimes that means, ripping your clothes off and jumping into the waterfall, or taking that new job, or pursuing that degree.
One of my favorite people in the whole world, Vashti Stopher Klein, Pat's aunt, is one of those people who faced a fear and then emerged from it stronger and more determined than ever to do what she's always wanted to do. She has, over the last year, passionately worked to produce her own music album. I am so proud of her. She could have easily said, it's too hard, I could fail, but she didn't. She's out there living life to the fullest, and that's the only way to do it. To learn more about her amazing journey and to hear her music, visit her Indiegogo campaign for The Heart of Things album. So, what's your thing? What's your music album, your dream job, your proverbial waterfall that you've been too afraid to pull the trigger on? What's stopping you, and why are you letting it? I'm hear to give you that friendly kick in the pants that my friend did. "What's the worst that could happen? What's the best that could happen?" Go out there, and make the best happen, you can do it, I know it! Happy Travels, Skeeter Happy Friday!!! Is anyone else suffering from this heat?! Here in Nashville it's been in the mid-90s the past week! I can't complain too much. I've been enjoying spending time outside and going swimming.
